Mandarin Pinyin Pronunciation: àiyùbīng

Ingredients: jelly made from the seeds of the awkeotsang creeping fig, lemon, sugar or honey

How to Eat It: Cold jelly drink or as a topping on shaved ice

Taste: light & refreshing, it is great during the summers to quench your thirst

Where Can I Find it?: night markets, drink vendors, drink shop

Cost: ~$35nt

Origin: plant and the jelly were named after the daughter of a Taiwanese tea businessman in the 1800s. The jelling property of the seeds was discovered by when he drank from a creek in Chiayi.
