What is it?: slowly braise different kinds of ingredients (meats, vegetables, noodles, tofu) in an aromatic liquid that’s made with soup stock, soy sauce, and a mix of various aromatic spice and dry herbs such as five spices, cinnamon stick, star anise, sand ginger, black cardamon, green cardamon, allspice, clove, Sichuan peppercorn, fennel seed, liqorice, bay leaf, etc... Every vendor mixes up to 30 of their own spices and herbs mix.
How to Eat It?: Grab tongs and place you want in your bowl. The vendor will quickly braise your food in a savory broth & you can enjoy straight out of the bag or plated.
