What is it?: golf ball size street food made of flour-based batter, cooked in a special folded pan. It's filled with minced, diced, or baby octopus, green onions, cabbage, and pickled ginger. Once the balls are fully cooked, they are brushed with a takoyaki sauce and a japanese mayonnaise (sweeter than western mayo) then sprinkled with dried seaweed flakes and shaved dried bonito (tuna).
